Profiles of Islam

Not only the road to Mecca appears
to separate Muslims and
Non-Muslims. Historical developments
and contemporary conflicts
have produced a gap of knowledge
and understanding between the
worlds. In an effort to bridge this
gap, ,Profiles of Islam’ will feature
portraits of Muslims from around
the world. The two-part documentary
will emphasize the diversity of
the ,Muslim World’ presenting it
as a mosaic rather than a monolith.
The acknowledgement of the
various appearances of Islam will
improve future communication and
relations between the Muslim and
the Non-Muslim world.
